Yes! A free entry to the Prelude for
any entrant who has a PRO-BIKEFIT($120) or EXERCISESTRESSTEST($400). Get fitted
right by Randy Ice, P.T.,C.C.S. or determine your cardiovascular fitness level.

free entry is October 21, 2009.
The 25 mile (easy) and 50 mile (moderate) routes are similar to 2008.
For those looking for a challenge there will be a hard, hilly Metric Century
(63 miles) again this year. The 50 mile route is not the same as the 50 mile
route used in our March ride.
All SAG stops will have fresh bananas, oranges, cantaloupe,
pineapple, trail mix, salted peanuts, raisins, freshly baked oatmeal and
chocolate chip cookies from the Solvang Bakery, Fig Newtons, Bottled Water and
SPIZ, the only nutritionally complete energy drink (www.SPIZ.net). Additional food
items may be added as available.

Volunteers are needed to work Friday evening
and on ride day at registration. SAG stops and the finish line. Volunteers will
receive a free BBQ lunch. Call (562) 690-9693 to sign up or for additional ride
information.
The official host of the Solvang Prelude is the Alisal Ranch and
Guest Resort (800) 4 ALISAL (www.alisal.com). For information on motel/hotel
accommodations call the Solvang Visitors Bureau (805) 688-6144, the Lompoc
Chamber of Commerce (805) 736-4567 or the Buellton of (805) 688-7829. For
those seeking overnight camping, trailer or RV parking, call Flying Flags
Campground in Buellton (805) 688-3716 and mention the Prelude for a
discount.
A barbeque lunch will be
available to riders/family/friends after the ride at the Alisal Guest Ranch
& Resort. Lunch will be served from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM on a first come,
first served basis. SCOR CCC is the host of the BBQ lunch, however the cost is
NOT included in the entry fee. BBQ lunch tickets are $12/person available for
pre-order on the entry form, or at the event.

Helmets are mandatory for all riders. Helmets will be available for
purchase from SCOR. If you ride in a paceline, please announce "on your left"
when passing other riders. Please ride single file and understand that you
assume all liabilities and risk for riding in a paceline. No personal SAG
vehicles are allowed. Headphones, Walkman and iPods are also forbidden by
law. TRIKKEBIKESPROHIBITED.

three-wheeled vehicles are prohibited for use on the ride. |
The
Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department and California Highway Patrol will be
providing intersection control throughout the courses. Please follow their
directions. At unmanned intersections and on the route, please obey all
applicable vehicle code laws. These roads are open to normal traffic, but
are generally lightly traveled due to the rural nature of the area. Riders who
violate vehicle code laws, ride unsafely or are rude, discourteous or dangerous
to other riders (or to law enforcement personnel) will NOT be allowed to enter
any future SCOR events and face ticketing by law enforcement
personnel.
A 50/50 raffle will be held this year.
Winner must be present to win.
